How can we help? We specialize in different wood related services. From tree to final product PEC Wood Co. can help with milling your logs, finding unique urban salvaged lumber or building that unique piece you are looking for.

Custom Sawmilling

Do you have logs on your property you would like to mill into lumber? Our LT 28 Wood-Mizer sawmill can mill logs as short as 4 feet long and up to 20 feet. It can handle logs 32" in diameter. We can also mill larger diameter logs but require work with a chainsaw to prepare before going on the mill. Drop off your logs and we will return your lumber to you.
Logs to Furniture

People form special relationships with trees, especially ones that may have grown on your property before it fell down or had to be removed. Call us to discuss a plan to honour your tree's story through an heirloom piece milled from your tree. We can discuss a plan to mill your log(s), and build a lasting wooden piece. Remember the greatest value a tree has monetarily and environmentally is standing, but if that day comes it must be removed, the next best value is by utilizing the wood and keeping the tree's story alive through a custom piece made from its wood.

He can provide consultation on tree condition prior to removal and discuss options regarding potential use of wood if a removal is required. We can recommend tree companies whom we are affiliated with through lumber salvage to complete any arboricultural work.
Butternut Health Assessments

Did you know that Butternut is a native species in Ontario that is an endangered species? Butternut and Butternut hybrids are common in Prince Edward County and the surrounding area. This may have implications if you have Butternut on your property as true Butternuts are protected by law. We can conduct a butternut health assessment to determine the condition of your Butternut to determine if it is a retainable species for permitting purposes under the Endangered Species Act, 2007.
